yuletide greetings
to you all. thought id just bash out a quick one, as it were to tell you about a couple of things wish you all a very happy christmas and a joyous and peaceful new year from all of us here at frames hq. thanks for all the cards and good wishes that have been coming in this past while - they are decking the halls nicely, along with the boughs of holly etc etc... welcome to any new comers too - nice to have you.
so, gigs wise there's not really a lot to report since last time just to reiterate - the frames are playing the rds in dublin on new years eve with a host of other talent - namely mr david kitt, bellx1, gemma hayes, mic christopher, relish and revelino. funky/disco tunes to happen after the frames finish their set, and im sure a smattering of special guest appearances on the night too to look forward to.
glen has been doing some shows down the country and tonight i know he's playing in de barras in clonakilty with peirce turner, and tommorrow night he's in reggies bar, (the cudgel stout folk club), cahersiveen, co. kerry - so two not to be missed if youre in the vacinity.
colm being the only poor bandit left in town right now is going to be on an obscenly early breakfast (TV3 AM) show tommorrow morning with mic christopher and paul noonan from bellx1 talking and undoubtedly someone will be playing a tune - at around the 7.30am mark - so if any of yous are up early enough - check em out looking all bleary eyed and still half asleep....
also, we have done a 2 part mini documentry with an internet/tv company called now.com and as they tell me.....
You can watch the tv programme on the web but it will take forever if you don't have broadband. You can't watch it 'Video On Demand' as ZTT wouldn't give us the rights. You can link to the pages and direct people (We've directed people to plateau) and The Pulse are showing Frames videos too. Everyone on ASIASAT 2 will be seeing the programme (China, Japan, Australia, India, North America) on the tv.
so, that would be worth checking out if you have the relevant bits on your computer.
otherwise, there is a site on the www.now.com thing at:
http://www.now.com/mp3tv/archive.now?cid=464282
which has some nice bits on too... excuse the blue - i dont know what happenned there...
anyways, i really will keep it breif this time - album wise we are still in the process of getting the artwork done and the tracklisting sorted, so fingers crossed for the end of february with tour dates to coincide.
there was, late last week a few of the 7" singles that glen did with songs ohia left in road records. that contains a new track called 'a caution to the birds' - which i guess some of you will have picked up already.
take care of yourselves and your loved ones. best love, cxxx
