music - fitzcarraldo (bass guitar)

print-friendly page
I'm tabbing this From the Fitzcaraldo album so it might be different than the
version on set list...

The bass dosen't come in till you hear the drums and then the verse is:

G-------------------------------------------------------
D-------------------------------------------------------
A---------------------------55555--55555--55555--55555--
E-22222--22222--22222-22222-----------------------------

Chorus
This part is a bit off but it dose the trick for me
It sounds like there's a load of hammer ons and stuff in it but this works in my band

G---------------------------
D---------------------------
A-00000--22222--44444--55555
E---------------------------

And or the part where theres the drum part and glen starts singing "it long way
to fitzcaraldo" just start dancing around the G Major scale with a hammer on here
and there!

Sorry its not perfect but its close to the it!
but if anybody can fix bits or stuff e-mail me at Benmichealmcgilloway[at]yahoo.co.uk

And if your one of these people who wants the exact sound!
- Try a Fender Percission
- Played through a galeon-Kruger head unit and a speaker (100 watt)
- and i think joe uses a 1.0 gauge plec! (well thats the one he gave me at the clearys gig)

It's not perfect but its as good a template you can get...
